This is Deep Dive: WFHB and Limestone Post Investigate where we look into issues regarding Health, Housing, and the Environment that directly impact residents of Monroe County. This month, we’re looking into the rising concern of teen mental health.

Indiana teens are facing a record number of anxiety, depression and thoughts of suicide. Systems that are meant to support them – schools, families and healthcare providers – are struggling to keep up. From the lingering effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the widespread use of social media and a lack of adequate support, young people live in unprecedented times. To find out more on the mental health crisis many young people face, WFHB News spoke with counselors, concerned parents, and others working to combat mental health challenges among the youth today.
