That’s IU student Bryce Greene, who was banned from the IU campus for his occupation of Dunn Meadow with the Palestine Solidarity Committee. Greene and professor Ben Robinson tell their story later in the show in a feature report.

As the Russia-Ukraine War continues to unfold, the impacts are felt far beyond the borders of Eastern Europe. WFHB Correspondent Mackenzie Lionberger spoke with policy experts at Indiana University and a student with family in Ukraine to explore the personal and geopolitical dimensions of this ongoing crisis. Thirty-eight present and former Jewish faculty at Indiana University signed a letter to IU administrators urging them to maintain freedom of speech policies. This follows threats of funding cuts from the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights if it fails to stop antisemitism on campus. In today’s newscast, we look back at a feature report produced by Samuel Dexter and Chad Carrothers.
IU student and Palestine Solidarity Committee organizer Bryce Greene and Protect IU organizer and IU professor Ben Robinson were banned from campus even before IU implemented its so-called “Expressive Activity” policy cracking down on protest speech. That policy is now the target of a lawsuit by The American Civil Liberties Union as a violation of first amendment rights. Greene and Robinson tell their story in today’s feature report.
