Buddy Bill, Rich Reardin, and Don Jordan are the hosts. This week Buddy Bill and Rich Reardin talk with movie producer/activist and 2009 West Virginia Filmmaker of the Year Mari-Lynn Evans. They discuss her films “The Appalachians”, “Coal Country” and “Blood On The Mountain” (now on Netflix), the state of the environment in West Virginia and surrounding states that are deeply affected by mountain top removal strip mining, fracking, and corrupt practices of mining companies, as well as state and local governments. Also about the fight to help those afflicted with various problems that resulted, such as the opioid crisis, poverty, health issues, pensions and healthcare being stripped from longtime miners through bankruptcies, sustainable and renewable energy resources and the future of communities affected by the extraction of fossil fuels.
