New State Senate bill expands child abuse victim protections; One of Monroe County’s specialty problem-solving programs, the Veterans Court, receives state grant funds; Karst Farm trail to be extended to Ellettsville through the Monon Railroad Corridor via Next Level grant funds; INDOT returns some I-69 property to Monroe County for environmental mitigation.

FEATURE
The League of Women Voters Bloomington-Monroe County held a round table discussion on the affects of gerrymandering on local government. In the wake of a recent supreme court decision stating that federal courts hold no authority on regulating gerrymandering, Elaine Gaul, Chaz Mottinger, Vicki Polanski and Jim Allison of the LWV debate some ideas of what can be done at the local level.
