Brown County to Break Ground on New Performing Arts Center

Brown County is expected to break ground on a new $12 1/2 million performing arts center, tomorrow. The Maple Leaf Performing Arts Center is a joint development by Brown County Commissioners, Brown County Council, and the county’s tourism department. The 2,000 seat, performing arts venue will be located off of Hawthorne Drive, behind the Brown County Health and Living Community.

A new road, Maple Leaf Boulevard, will connect Maple Leaf Performing Ars Center to State Road 46. Groundbreaking takes place at 10 a.m. The Maple Leaf Performing Arts Center is expected to open next Summer.
