Lori Dahlstrom has volunteered with Global Gifts fair trade store since it first came to Bloomington nine years ago. She was looking for an opportunity that would be enjoyable and not super stressful as a counterbalance to her professional life as a counselor. She enjoys meeting the customers who come into the store and educating them about the mission of the store. She is also inspired by the students who volunteer at the store and their enthusiasm for the mission and their global perspectives. Lori is not just a “key” volunteer at the store, but has also become an ambassador for fair trade. Her experiences as a volunteer have broadened her perspectives and have made her a more conscientious shopper in her own life.
