Ellettsville Struggles to Address Repeated Flooding

The Town of Ellettsville has a 100 year history of flooding. At the town council’s meeting yesterday, Fire Chief Mike Cornman said heavy rains and flash flooding left no way in or out of the town, last Thursday afternoon. Emergency Declared in Additional Counties

One-third of Indiana is under an emergency declaration, following torrential rain and flooding last month. Governor Eric Holcomb expanded the list to Gibson, Lagrange, Vanderburg, and Vermillion counties on Friday, bringing the total number of flooded counties to 35.
