The Brown County Parks and Recreation Dept. signed off on a logging contract that clear-cut a scenic overlook. At least one acre was logged along both sides of N. Highway 135, south of Bean Blossom. The Herald-Times is among eight Indiana newspapers sold to Gatehouse Media. South-Bend based Schurz Communications Inc. purchased The Herald-Times, in 1966.
