Cases of Hepatitis A on the Rise

Reported cases of Hepatitis A are on the rise throughout Southern Indiana, including Lawrence county. Monroe County Health Commissioner Penny Caudill said the increase in the reported cases of the fecal-oral disease mimics a wider outbreak across the country. The Indiana State Department of Health is working with the Wayne County Health Department to inform people who may have eaten food prepared at Casey’s General Store in Centerville about a possible exposure to Hepatitis A.
