Indiana University to Rename Intramural Center, Considers Renaming Other Buildings

Indiana University is among a list of schools to rename statues and buildings of alumni whose pasts are clouded with racism.  On Friday, the IU Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a resolution to rename the intramural center. Indiana University Graduates Class of 2019

Indiana University Bloomington graduated nearly ten thousand students over the weekend. On Saturday morning IU Bloomington conferred over 7,000 bachelor’s degrees and, on Friday afternoon, the university also conferred 2,600 post-graduate degrees at Assembly Hall. Governing Body Revokes IU Fraternity’s Charter

An Indiana University Fraternity has had its charter revoked. Kappa Sigma’s national governing body announced the decision to revoke their IU chapter’s charter, after repeated reports of alcohol abuse and hazing. No Injuries After Underground Explosion at IU

An explosion on Indiana University’s Bloomington campus shut down Tenth Street over the weekend. On Friday night, an electrical problem blew a 60 year-old conductor underground. Indiana University Communication’s Director Chuck Carney said the explosion knocked out power to some surrounding buildings and caused the closure of the busy east-west thoroughfare in Bloomington.
