New Scooter Company Coming to Bloomington

The Bloomington Board of Park Commissioners approved an interim operating agreement for Spin Scooters, a division of Ford Motor Company, yesterday. Scooter companies Bird and Lime already operate in Bloomington. The Bloomington Redevelopment Commission is postponing approving a project agreement for two new downtown parking garages. Bloomington Approves 4th St. Garage Funds

The Bloomington Redevelopment Commission has approved a $29.5 million bond to fund a new Fourth Street parking garage. A review by structural engineers earlier this year revealed serious structural issues with the garage. The city has already spend more than $20,000 in emergency repairs.
