This episode is the continuation of an excerpt from the novel Controlled Conversations by Karol Lagodzki Last week in episode 7 we were introduced to Emelia and briefly to Antek, In this excerpt we learn more about Antek, whose pursuits are “machines and love.”

“Antek had always thought that only machines—made for a purpose, perfected throughas many iterations as needed—could achieve what some might call perfection. Organic life was messy.”

And it gets messier quickly for Antek.

Karol has many published short stories, but Controlled Conversations is his first
published novel. It will be available in August by Milford House Press.
