Paisley’s Posh Nosh Episode 5: The Ultimate Christmas Episode

Welcome back to Paisley’s Posh Nosh on WFHB’s Youth Radio! If this is your first time here, then here’s a quick run down: On this bi-weekly show, I pick and review snacks and drinks that have a special seasonal, holiday, or other theme to them. Not only are my picks fun, but more importantly, they’re all healthy. Being a student athlete the majority of my life, I know first hand the importance of fueling your body with the right food and nutrients enabling you to perform and live at your best!

If you want to know a little more about me: I’m fifteen, a home-schooled sophomore in high school, founder and owner of my crocheted jewelry business Sweet P Crochets, a competitive swimmer on the local swim team Indiana Swim Club, songwriter, guitar player, lifeguard, I love spending time with my friends, and I’m also a DJ here at WFHB. Alright enough about me, lets get to this episode’s theme!

Like I not so subtly hinted at last time, this episode was going to be the ultimate Christmas episode! Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday.
I go crazy this time of year, so I was beyond excited to share my Christmas spirit with you. The picks for this episode were: the mint chocolate protein balls and gingerbread hot chocolate. I’ve attached the links to the recipes for both picks below! Not only are these picks festive and take just 10 minutes to make, but they’re also a twist on the classic “Cookies and Milk” we leave out on Christmas Eve for the one and only Santa Claus. The protein balls act as the cookies….or rather cookie dough, and the hot chocolate acts as the milk just with some added warmth and flavor. Not to mention, both offer more health benefits than all Santa’s elves can pack into all those presents. To back up that claim, let’s unwrap these health benefits shall we?
I won’t get into each individual ingredient’s health benefits here (that’s for on air!) but the most popular health benefit was by eating these picks you’re supporting your cardiovascular and heart health. Others include digestive health, skin and hair health, anti-inflammatory properties, neuro and cognitive health, immune support, and more!

Thank you so much for reading, tuning in, or both! I’ll see you in 2026, Luck+Love!
