Welcome to our interview with Meredith Oda conducted by Professor Wu on Hearabouts: Asian American Midwest Radio! Hearabouts is produced by WFHB and Indiana University’s Asian Culture Center. We ask critical questions about identity, culture, community and shared assumptions.

Professor Ellen Wu, is an associate professor of history and director of the Asian Studies program at Indiana University. Her interview is with Dr. Meredith Oda, an associate professor in the Department of History at the University of Nevada, Reno. Professor Wu talks with Meredith Oda about her life growing up as a Japanese American in both Philadelphia and California, in addition to projects she is working on as a historian at the University of Nevada.
