In today’s Ecoreport feature Jeff Stant, Executive Director of the Indiana Forest Alliance discusses The Forestry Division of the Department of Natural Resouces’ five year plan for the state forests. The DNR is proposing cutting several million more board feet of timber each year. Stant summarizes the plan and also comments on the plan. There will be opportunity for the public to comment.
Comments on the plan can be made on the DNR web site in the Division of Forestry section under “Contact Us”. The Comment period ends on October 31.
