WFHB Local News – Meet The Candidate: Dr. Woody Myers

Play

On Tuesday, October 13th, WFHB interviewed Dr. Woody Myers, the Democratic nominee for governor of Indiana.

Initially, we reached out to all three campaigns for governor – but we were unable to ultimately reach Republican Governor Eric Holcomb and Libertarian candidate Donald Rainwater for respective interviews.

However, we did hear back from the Dr. Woody Myers campaign.

Dr. Myers was the state health commissioner from 1985 to 1990. He ran for Congress in 2008 but lost to incumbent André Carson.

A recent poll showed that Myers trails his Republican opponent by 18 points with a 4 percentage point margin of error.

WFHB talked to Dr. Myers about his policy proposals on a range of issues facing Indiana voters.
