Council Member Ron Smith asked Volan: if the city acquired the Showers building and rented it out to tenants, what would happen to that revenue? Volan responded that he didn’t know for sure, but he would be open to receive an estimate from the mayor’s office.

Deputy Mayor Carmichael responded with a rough estimate, but she added that it depends on a variety of factors. Smith pressed further.

The council unanimously voted to postpone the decision until next week. The vote is expected to happen at the next Bloomington City Council meeting on January 25th.
