Bloomington Board of Public Works

During the February 13th meeting of the Bloomington Board of Public Works, the board heard lane and sidewalk closure requests from the Atlantic Engineering Group, or A-E-G. The temporary closures would be intended to continue installing the city’s planned fiber optic network. Engineering Field Specialist Alex Gray walked through the lane and sidewalk closure requests.

Board Secretary James Roach asked if Gray would give some background on the city’s high-speed fiber network initiative. Gray responded. Then, Public Works Director Adam Wason clarified more details on the project as a whole.

The board approved the lane and sidewalk closures by a unanimous vote. The Bloomington Board of Public Works will meet again on February 27th.
