Monroe County Board of Health Provides Update on Covid-19 Vaccinations
On March 31st at the Monroe County Board of Health meeting Public Health Nurse Amy Meek gave an update on Covid-19 vaccinations.
Indiana University Vice Provost of External Relations shared that cases of Covid-19 are low enough that they will suspend mandatory testing for unvaccinated individuals. He also said that they are adding vending machines to make voluntary testing kits more accessible.
Executive Director of Indiana Recovery Alliance Nicholas Voyles gave an update on the program’s work in the community.
Board member Carol Touloukian commented on what Indiana Recovery Alliance is able to do for Monroe County.
Voyles responded saying that she is right that there is a need for more services to be available.
The next board of health meeting will be held on May 5th.
