Wehrlegig Games Games: Drew Wehrle

Play

What started out as a side gig, a vanity project, has become Drew Wehrle’s day job. He and his brother Cole Wehrle founded the historical board game maker, Wehrlegig Games. Drew handles the production and business end of the operation while Cole is a noted game designer. They’ve produced two board games thus far: one dealing with the aftermath of the Russian and British colonial reigns in Afghanistan and the other with the people who benefitted from the East India Company’s control of the East Indies and the Indian subcontinent. This year the Wehrle brothers will launch a board game dealing with the cloistered queer culture of Georgian England.  Historical board games are a fast=growing niche in the overall game market.
