Next Tuesday, October 9th, is the last day to register to vote for this November’s midterm Elections.

U.S. Citizens and residents of the state of Indiana can register to vote online, by mail, or in person at their county elections offices.

To register, voters must not be currently imprisoned, and must have lived in a voting precinct since at least the 7th of October, this coming Sunday. Voters can register online at Indianavoters.com. There they can also check their voter registration, precinct, and polling location. Indianavoters.com also includes a list of candidates on the ballot.

The 2018 Midterm Elections take place on November 6th. Early voting begins on October 10th. Early voting times and locations for Monroe County can be found at Monroecountyvoters.us.

Absentee ballots must be sent in by October 29th to county election offices, in order to be eligible for the 2018 election. Absentee ballots applications can be found online, at Indianavoters.com, or at local county election offices. If the absentee voter application is approved, the ballot will be sent back to the voter to fill out before October 29th.

Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson, announced last week that the Indiana Democratic Party had inadvertently sent some faulty absentee ballot applications to potentially hundreds of thousands of voters.

Lawson said that the applications did not contain the correct language mandated by Indiana law to be approved at the local county offices.
Lawson has since approved the absentee ballot applications, but warned that several counties will not accept the faulty absentee ballot applications.

Both Lawson and Indiana Democratic Party Chairman, John Zody, urge voters to check their status at Indianavoters.com. Voters can apply for absentee ballots, until October 29th.
