The Gentleman From Indiana: Tom Roznowski

Play

He’s not originally from Indiana (actually, upstate New York) but nobody knows the Midwest and the Hoosier State like Tom Roznowski. His book, “An American Hometown: Terre Haute, Indiana, 1927,” brings us to an era and a place like some magical combination tour guide and time machine. His radio shows have brought us plain folks whose stories are as true and revealing of the human condition as those of decorated historians and sociologists. His music is pure Americana. He’s a Bloomington treasure in a fedora.

[This edition of Big Talk originally aired Thursday, November 5, 2020. It is Part 1 of a two-part conversation.]

Host Michael Glab goes one-on-one with Bloomington’s most fascinating people every Thursday at 5:30pm.
