In this episode of the Bicentennial Journal, Scott Emery, a volunteer with the Monroe County History Center Cemetery Committee, tells a story about the Blair Cemetery in Van Buren Township. The cemetery consist of one headstone, that of one year-old Carlyle Blair, son of Marion and Hester Blair. Marion Blair was a well regarded artist who painted a portrait of Abraham Lincoln’s body.
