More Nazi-related vandalism was discovered over the weekend – this time in New Albany.

The two red, spray-painted swastikas and several upside-down crosses, were discovered earlier today. The graffiti is on the sign to the Azalea Hills retirement community, in Floyds Knobs.

The vandalism comes after swastikas and iron crosses were found spray-painted behind a Carmel synagogue late last month. Floyd County Sheriff’s Department did not return requests for comment by deadline. It is unclear whether the Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.

In nearby Madison, Indiana, the Ku Klux Klan has reserved a public park for a cookout and rally on September 1. It is the second KKK rally in Madison in as many years. The Madison Police Department states they are working on creating a safety plan for the rally.

The Southern Poverty Law Center reports Indiana is 11th in the nation when it comes to the number of active hate groups in the state.
