Hearabouts: A Conversation with Alex Tran

Play

Welcome to the 81th episode of Hearabouts: Asian American Midwest Radio. Hearabouts is produced by Indiana University’s Asian Culture Center in collaboration with WFHB. We ask critical questions about identity, culture, community, and shared assumptions. This episode is produced by Belle Chatpunnarangsee and Joanna Kung.

In this episode, we are joined by Alex Tran, a PhD student studying Social Psychology here at IU, with a meaningful conversation on the importance of reading books, especially for the AAPI community, and his work with the ACC’s Book Club. We touch on the book All My Rage, Alex’s motivation for starting the book club, and the book ban in Indiana.
