Welcome to our 47th episode of Hearabouts: Asian American Midwest Radio. Hearabouts is produced by Indiana University’s Asian Culture Center in collaboration with WFHB, Our hosts are Melanie Castillo-Cullather and Andrew Pace and our sound engineer is Michael Sears. We ask critical questions about identity, culture, community and shared assumptions.

In this episode we introduce the brand new season of Hearabouts as we enter the 2021-2022 school year and engage in a discussion with current Indiana University Bloomington students Kevin and Audrey. We reflect on the previous school year and how COVID-19, online learning and global events shaped our experiences as students and staff members. We also discuss lessons that we learned as a result of these experiences and challenges as well as what we are looking forward to in the current school year.
