Bring It On! – September 30, 2020: The Power of the Black and Brown Vote

On this special edition of Bring It On!, host William Hosea speaks with The Honorable Valeri Haughton-Motley, a Monroe County Circuit Court Judge for Division II, and Natalia Galvin, Chair of the Indiana 9th District Latino Democratic Caucus, about the upcoming event, Power of the Black and Brown Vote – Can You Hear Us Now!

With the November 3rd General Election just five weeks away, it is important that we hear from those in our Black and Brown communities. On Saturday, October 3rd from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. via Facebook Live, the Monroe County Democratic Party, the Monroe County Black Democratic Caucus, and the 9th District Indiana Latino Democratic Caucus will host this special panel discussion event.

Panelists will include Dana Black, the Deputy Chair for Engagement for the Indiana Democratic Party, Karla Lopez-Owens, the Voter Education Chair for the Indiana LatinX Democratic Caucus, Dr. Luis Fuentes-Rohwer, the Class of 1950 Herman B. Wells Professor of Law at the Mauer School of Law at Indiana University,  and other notable guests about how Black and Brown voters are critical and should not be taken for granted in the upcoming 2020 elections. Nicole Bolden, the City of Bloomington Clerk, will be moderating.
