On today’s edition of Bring It On!, hosts, Liz Mitchell and Natalia Galvin, speak with Kerry Thomson. She is the last of three Democratic mayoral candidates that will Bring It On! will interview during the month of April as the mayoral election on May 2 approaches.
Kerry Thomson is the Executive Director of Indiana University’s Center for Rural Engagement. She is the former CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County. During her tenure at Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, she grew its mortgage portfolio to six million and added hundreds of thousands in investments.
In 2018, after more than 20 years with Habitat, Kerry was appointed Executive Director of Indiana University’s Center for Rural Engagement. The Center partners with rural communities on initiatives designed to improve quality of life and invigorate economic vitality. Under Kerry’s leadership, the Center’s reach has expanded into 50 of Indiana’s 92 counties, impacting 20,000 Hoosier lives through 300 different projects.
