Hosts Clarence Boone and William Hosea welcome Bloomington Police Chief Mike Diekhoff and Beverly Calender-Anderson, Director of the Community and Family Resources Department. They are here to discuss their contributions to Bloomington’s 4th Annual Public Safety Report, which covers topics ranging from police personnel recruitment, training, crime statistics, and data about the substance abuse problem. The Public Safety Report also includes information about diversion programs, and an update about the Safety, Civility and Justice Initiative.
Bloomington Police Chief Mike Diekhoff presented on the comprehensive work of the police department, Beverly Calender-Anderson, director of the Community and Family Resources Department, gave a reflective presentation on the work the Safety, Civility and Justice Initiative in the past year and its goals for 2020.
