The Eliza Tevis Society was organized in 2019 at the Bashford Manor Bed & Breakfast in Louisville, Kentucky with a mission to:
“Discover and share with the public an informed story about the life and legacy of Eliza Curtis Hundley Tevis Coleman‘s journey out of American enslavement, and the leadership contributions she made to the enslaved and free communities of Africans in Louisville and Jefferson County, Kentucky, and beyond.”
