On today’s edition of Bring It On!, hosts, Clarence Boone and Liz Mitchell spend the hour with Cyrilla Helm, the Executive Director, and Nancy Goswami, the Board Director of the Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools (FMCCS), tohelp us better understand the Foundation’s mission and activities.
The the Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools was founded in 1973. The foundation was organized to provide a Margin of Excellence to the community and its schools that tax funding did not provide.
The Foundation has enriched educational opportunities for students of the MCCSC. It has funded countless books for school libraries and classrooms, STEM equipment, field trips, the renovation of Honey Creek, professional development for teachers, school transformation projects, the STEM to THEM mobile lab, student scholarships, and more!
