All Hoosiers ages 16 and older can sign up to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. You can sign up online by visiting ourshot.in.gov over the phone by calling 2-1-1 for assistance, or by contacting one of Indiana’s Area Agencies on Aging.

Today, April 6th, State-wide COVID-19 restrictions are being relaxed, according to an announcement made by Governor Eric Holcomb in late March. The relaxations include the state’s mask mandate, which as of today is a “state mask advisory.” Governor Holcomb is still letting Local governments and Health Departments make their own regulations where necessary.

Depending on where you live in the listening area, your COVID-19 regulations may be different. The Monroe County Health Department announced last week that Monroe County will continue to enforce a mask mandate, as well as all other COVID-19 regulations until further notice.
WFHB has reached out to the Brown and Lawrence County health departments, has not received comment before recording.

The City of Bloomington will break land on a new apartment building, Retreat at The Switchyard, in June. According to a press release, the new project will build sixty-four new homes. 48 of those units will be dedicated to residents earning 30 to 80 percent of Area Median Income. As part of a deal with Stone Belt, ten of those 48 units will be reserved for “individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities,”.

The new apartment complex will go up at 1730 South Walnut Street. The city bought the land, which was formerly the site of local strip club Night Moves, in 2017, as part of the overall plan to build Switchyard Park.
