New Efforts Necessary to Help Bloomington Homeless

Play

A makeshift homeless shelter has been built on 11th street, one block west of Adams street in Bloomington. The camp – made up of military grade tent shelters and individual tents, is a response to the lack of summer overnight shelter opportunities in Bloomington this year. A group of Indiana University Students and concerned citizens have taken it upon themselves to erect the camp, and are working to provide food and provisions to the local homeless population.
