At the behest of the Monroe County Board of Commissioners and Health Department Administrator Penny Caudill, the Monroe County Legal Department published a detailed report on a former contractor’s business relationship with the county.
The public statement comes after an Indiana Daily Student article, released Tuesday, detailed sexual harassment allegations between the former contractor and Monroe County Commissioner Amanda Barge. Barge, who was running in a Democratic primary against incumbent Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton, suspended her campaign the same day the article was published.
The statement alleges the former contractor, Brandon Drake, repeatedly missed deadlines and failed to deliver on contractual obligations in 2018.
