One year ago, John Gregg announced that he would enter the race for Governor of Indiana. The former state representative served in the statehouse from 1986 to 2002 and during that time was elected to serve as Speaker of House from 1996 to 2002. He also served as Democratic Majority Leader from 1990 to 1994. In 2002, Gregg retired from statehouse politics to spend more time with his two sons. Gregg announced on May 23rd, that he would run with State Senator and Senate Minority Leader Vi Simpson of District 40. In today’s daily local news feature exclusive, Gregg speaks with correspondent Wes Martin about the contrasts between himself and his republican opponent Mike Pence.
