Pete Buttigieg is speaking at the Indiana University Auditorium, on Tuesday, June 11.

The South Bend mayor and 2020 presidential candidate will speak on foreign policy and national security. He will be introduced by former Congressman (D-IN) Lee Hamilton.

Buttigieg is among the youngest presidential candidates in United States history. He is not the first openly gay Democratic candidate for president. Republican Party candidate Fred Karger ran during the 2012 presidential primary.

Buttigieg is currently serving his eighth year as Mayor of South Bend. He studied at Harvard and Oxford, before serving in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He took a seven-month leave from his mayoral duties in 2014, to deploy to Afghanistan.

Tickets for Buttigieg’s speech are available June 10 until 6 p.m. at the IU Auditorium Box Office. Each person may only pick up one ticket. The event will allow entry for ticketed members of the public at 12 p.m. tomorrow.
