560 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Indiana on Sunday, according to the Indiana State Department of Health, which also confirmed two new deaths in the state. Monroe County reported 8 new positive cases on Sunday while today, Brown County reported one new positive case of Covid-19. Wait-times for test results in Indiana may take four to six days, according to Logistics Health Incorporated, the company that schedules the free Health Department test.

Two doctors, speaking off the record to WFHB through the IU Health Virtual Visits application, raised questions about the reliability of the COVID-19 tests. One called the tests, “Low quality and not standardized.” The other, an I-C-U doctor, said that he cared for patients who tested negative for the virus multiple times in a short period, before receiving a positive result on the third or fourth test. They both recommended that if a person suspects that they have COVID-19, even if they receive a negative test result, they should quarantine for two weeks.

National media attention continues to focus on the Fourth of July, racist attack on Vauhxx Booker at Lake Monroe. This morning, Mr. Booker appeared on Democracy Now. On tonight’s 6 p.m. airing of Bring It On!, you can also hear an interview with Vauhxx Booker.
