Featured animal: Nikki, a Dachshund with the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter
Nikki is a loving and affectionate elderly Dachshund who came to the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter with over 60 other dogs. She would do best in a home without other dogs, since she has a bad habit of resource guarding food, toys, etc. from her canine friends. Nikki loves meeting new people, thinks rolling in the grass is the best, and she can take surprisingly long walks for a gal who’s almost 12 years old. She does have Cushing’s Disease, which is treated with medication. Nikki’s foster mom says that she’s “a gem” and can’t wait for you to meet her. Nikki’s adoption fee is waived. If you’re interested in learning more about Nikki, please reach out to the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter.
