The legalization of same sex-marriage in nine states, including Washington D.C., and the Supreme Court hearing involving two gay rights cases has sparked a national debate over if and when other states will do the same. While same-sex marriages aren’t legal in Indiana, the topic has still cropped up during Indiana general assembly proceedings.As Latonya Yarbro reports, many feel all of the local and national media attention to this particular debate overshadows other LGBT rights issues taking place right now in Indiana.
