Interchange – Battling I-69 in Court; IU’s Library Layoff Controversy

Sandra Tokarski, co-plaintiff in the recent Federal Court action to halt the construction of I-69, along with her attorney Mick Harrison, join Interchange reporter Ryan Dawes for an in-depth discussion of the four-count complaint, including the government’s failure to follow essential protocol, as well as the highway’s long-term threat to the existence of a rare species of bat.  In the second segment, reporter Alison Bektesh talks with Bryce Smedley, representative of local-CWA (Communications Workers of America), about the recent layoffs of 8 Wells Library employees — especially in light of substantial raises given to Indiana University administration, including a 23-percent raise for university president McRobbie.
