Slightly fewer than one out of every five women at Indiana University Bloomington have reported being sexually assaulted.
The new Office for Sexual Violence Prevention and Victim Advocacy is an Indiana University campus resource that aims to educate students about what constitutes sexual assault, and to provide resources for victims.
While the center itself is new, Senior Director Leslie Fasone says that much of the offices’ work consolidates existing resources. Fasone speaks with WFHB News Director Wes Martin about sexual assault on IU’s campus, in today’s Community Report.
