Nancy Brand and Martha Vicinus are two women who worked and lived in Bloomington, Indiana and participated within the Women’s Liberation Movement during the 1960s and 1970s. They made advancements in women’s rights such as founding the Women’s Studies Department at Indiana University and creating the IU Women’s Center. Their interviews, conducted in the late 1970s, are brought back to life this month in honor of Women’s History Month. Listen along to learn more about the work these women did.
