Indiana is among states to receive federal funding to fight the opioid epidemic; The U.S Senate overwhelmingly passed the Opioid Crisis Response Act on Monday; Soldiers from the Indiana Army National Guard are helping rescue and recovery efforts in North Carolina; The metal fish that tops the Monroe County Courthouse will soon have a name; The Bloomington City Council approved significant and long term changes in downtown parking and neighborhood zones, in its meeting last night; The Indiana Department of Natural Resources plans to log a state forest near Kokomo; French Lick Resort is planning a $17 million expansion.

VOICES IN THE STREETS
Late last week, electric scooters popped up in downtown Bloomington. Officials said the electric scooter company Bird provided no warning they would distribute 100 scooters around the downtown. Voices in the Street asked area residents their opinions about the scooters.
