The latest FEMA Disaster Recovery Center opens today in New Albany, Indiana; Emergency response officials say residents in all 92 Indiana counties are now able to text 911 messages during emergencies; The Islamic Center of Bloomington has asked the Bloomington Police Department to investigate two possible incidents of vandalism; Police are no longer directing traffic at the second and third street overpasses over Interstate 69; The Indiana Department of Transportation will close Yellowwood Lake Road, next Monday;

The town of Spencer resisted being named a Superfund site by the EPA. According to EPA documents obtained by WFHB, Spencer officials pushed back on the EPA’s designation, due to fears that being named a Superfund site would negatively affect property values.
