Bloomington residents near the Grimes and Walnut Street sewer replacement project will have to bear another month of night time drilling. Among the proposed changes in a new traffic plan for Bloomington is an idea to replace the existing north and south one ways of Walnut and College, in downtown Bloomington, with two-way streets.  The city of Bloomington is removing addresses of fatal overdoses from their data portal. Nancy Richman, Executive Director for Volunteers in Medicine, shared success stories with County Commissioners on Wednesday, as part of her annual report.

FEATURE:  New Farm Bill will affect SNAP benefits. Congress is currently reconciling the Senate and House of representatives respective Farm Bills, both of which won largely partisan support. Among the proposed changes are increases in requirements for Hoosiers to qualify for SNAP benefits – formerly called food stamps. In today’s Feature Report, WFHB Correspondent Jonah Chester takes us through what the proposed changes could bring to Hoosiers, particularly when it comes to new regulations to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP benefits.
