BICENTENNIAL JOURNAL
African-American soldiers fought and died in Europe and Asia, throughout the 20th century. After returning home, many of these young men were not afforded the opportunity to play sports at a collegiate level, including at Indiana University. Bob Hammel tells the story of the desegregation of collegiate sports, in this week’s edition of The Bicentennial Journal.
