City Approves 4-year Employee Contracts

The City of Bloomington and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees approved a four-year contract, earlier this month.

The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, or AFSCME  for short, and the city of Bloomington agreed to the terms a contract for municipal employees on December 6. The 2 – 2.5 percent pay increase for municipal employees is expected to match projected inflation rates.

Bloomington City Hall and municipal offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 25th, and Tuesday, January 1st.
