We have a great show, tonight! Dr. Kand McQueen is an educator in many disciplines, now a full-time public speaker. He is joining us tonight to share his story. This weekend is the annual Bloomington PRIDE Film Festival going on at the Buskirk on Friday and Saturday. You can view the schedule and buy tickets or learn about the subsidized ticket program at https://bloomingtonpride.org/film.

Also, don’t miss the Project Middle Way Fashion Show on the 29th! It’s from 6:30 to 8:30 and features a drag show!!! Project Middle Way is a student-led charity fashion show event benefiting Middle Way House, a Bloomington IN-based organization working to fight domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Project Middle Way is fully inclusive, and is focused on body-positivity, self-love, and empowerment through fashion and celebration of individual style. Come for a fun fashion show, a killer all-ages drag performance, musical acts, food, raffle baskets, and most importantly, supporting a good cause. Tickets are available at the door for $5 (children and students) and $10 (adults). Reception, including food, music, and various activities begins at 6:30, and show programming begins at 7:15. Don’t forget to bring bills of any size to tip your drag queens – all tips are donated to the cause!

And on March 4th, Melanie’s birthday, the Stonewall Democrats, Monroe County Black Democratic Caucus, Indiana Latino Caucus, and the College Democrats at Indiana University are hosting the event: “Winning Back Indiana” a forum featuring Democratic candidates for Governor, Attorney General, and 9th District Reps. at Whittenberger Auditorium (IU Auditorium).
