We have two guests in the studio – or zoomio – this week to talk about the election! Ashley Hemsath and Velvet Malone join our round table discussion of what the future looks like for the LGBTQ+ communities across the country and locally. We also have good news about LGBTQ+ candidates who got voted into office this week, including Charmaine McGuffey, who after being fired by the Sheriff for being a lesbian decided to run against him and won. We also elected Sarah McBride, our first trans state senator ever, as well as Mauree Turner, the first non-binary state legislator and first Muslim legislator for Oklahoma.
