Each year, the City of Bloomington Black History Month Committee plans activities and events for the community to celebrate and commemorate the month of February as Black History Month. This year’s
theme is “Black Her-Story Month: Illuminating the Gifts of Black Women”.
On Bring It On representing all that is phenomenal about our Black women in Bloomington, we have assembled our three black elected officials for Bloomington and Monroe County, who remarkably are women!
Joining us to speak on life as an elected official are Nicole Bolden, Bloomington City Clerk, Nicole Brown, Monroe County Clerk and the Honorable Valeri Haughton, Monroe County Circuit Court Judge.
